My awesome short! Can you believe it? The short film, Mannen fra Isødet aka The Devil's Ballroom, I made the storyboard for, won the Best Action Short at Palm Springs Shortfest!

Anyway. I burnt my middle finger today, so I had some difficulties drawing. But here is a small sketch.

I really wanted to draw a tattoo sleeve, so that's why the rest of the drawing is so... flat and undetailed...

Problem on the other hand being that I rarely want things enough to put in any effort.
Which means I won't get anything, which is no real problem as I kind of have everything I need already.

Still these small bits of "heck yeah" inspirations makes me have just that Lil spark of ambition, and then you see me draw for practice.

Today was foreshortening and photo-shop practice time!

should've bought cordless though, dancing whiles plugged into the stereo gets awkward sometimes.

A day of questions, weird questions flying into my mind like evil spirits trying to gnaw at my brain till I release them into the big world.

Course I know that releasing them would just bring brain gnawing to the general populous so I refrain from asking them.

Now tomorrow would be Skinny dipping day, might be today!

I got a bit fascinated by the gorillaglove girl I did the other day, so here's another take on it.

It was fun to do, as I did it as a little brake from the work I'm currently doing. Which is taking it's time.

Anyway, bf and guest came home, so now there's no more peace for me to draw! Kitchen duty calls, have to make them dinner before they die of hunger... or sumthing.

Mutual gain.

Patiance, it is really essential when you want to draw.

Try and draw something fast and you'll never get on the right track.
Takes your time and let the drawing happen.

Forcing it out just ends with a really sad piece of wasted tree.
Unless, you have a clear idea on what your ganna do.
Forcing that out is duable.

I am so much better at biological shapes because I lack the patiance to do hard mechanical lines.
You need focus on a line supposed to be streight, wheres a biological line can kind of just happend, and look good for it.

So a little leftover inspiration from the honestfaced lady.
Been listening to a woman talk so fast that in the end it ends up being a background humm.
Guessing that when I turn it of my heads going to have a dail-tone.

Anyways, hope you enjoy.

We got up way to late today, and then we went to see prometheus! Which was very cool and it made me want to draw, but all of a sudden time run out and it's Monday already..

I had bigger plans. But tomorrow it's time to indulge in some serious commission working, as I've managed to end up behind.

Yeees, a witch collecting herbs sketch.

My bf got home today!!!! Omg! Who would have thought two weeks would feel like eternity? Anyway, he's home now, and I've got my drawing motivation back!

Hilariously embarrassing movie, thankfully she helped clear my pallet by us watching red riding hood afterwards, which was in all matter quite good.

Had an idea for what I wanted to draw, but never got to it.
Hopefully I can steal a new muse and get to work by next entry.

Kyrie told me to do more mech, and since the original drawing I was planing on posting today ended up looking... Like toenails... I decided I'd give it a go. Hmm, steam powered gorilla gloves anyone?

Anyway, bedtime for me, if I'm able to sleep now that is... I should cut down on my sugar intake btw!

Ah, the amount of money saved by the mere virtue of being able to draw it all.

I have a stupid mind.
It might be considered smart, but by considering it smart it only seems all the more stupid.

I know, and think on pretty much everything I do, I have reason and I have choices.
This however does not really seem to matter when it gets down to it.

No matter what I have though, no matter what the most logical plan was, no, it matters not even the great debts of scenarios I foolproffed.
In the end I just go with the hearth.

So obviously the mind must be stupid, for to work that hard, only to say; "Immmmmm outta here" at the time to shine seems horribly practical an excuse.

And at this point rather annoying.

Speed Session

So no big super mega post today.

Did this one whiles speed drawings to a 1.5min song.
Make an image quickly and perhaps some of that speed carries over into the drawing and the impression it carries.

Also tried my hand a little more on Vinter shading technique, really fun actually.
Makes me want to draw more, which I plan on doing tomorrow.

I'm being evil... Kyrie is so good and post awesome stuff early, and I give you shait late...

*glee*, Father Nature, no-name.

So I've had the day of, so delved into some Anime.
Which just meant I had to draw some cute little Anime thing.

So simple, so fun, and Yes, that is me fanboying to the right.
Id, link the ending of the series I was watching so you all could understand where this is coming from.

But you know, I might die of embarrassment.



Then we have a stylistic change, Can't draw Anime all day without adding some counterweight.
So Father of nature was just me doing something a bit more advanced then Anime.

He's got a feeling around him, that was hard to capture in the drawings.
Guess I need to work on that.
But hey, still getting used to the entire coloring a lot thing.

Hopefully if post nr 1 disturbed you, this one leaves you with a balanced mind.



And finally, cant draw cute and innocent without having the opposite a little later.
So we made this, bit cheap, could've done so much more and better with this idea, but first of.
Bit unsure what would be kosher for me to upload on lazy.
Secondly
Its not at all easy watching subbed Anime whiles you draw, thankfully the series serious plot points are plain ignorable.

The drawing I'm posting a sneak peek of today was an important drawing for me... Until I suddenly realized that I'm not at all happy with how it turned out so far... So I'm staring over with this!


Sorry for the lateness, work takes it tool on drawing time. And I've just landed a pretty big gig, which will take up most of my spare time.


Now though, it's bed time.
Kyrie brings moar goodies tomorrow! Maybe I'll get to show him some more tricks next time I'm around, maybe we'll have a super drawing time, and I'll bring my lappy and wacom and we can have a doodle crazy digital extraordinaire!

Color me green and natural

I really like roller-skates, Never used them more then once, I tend to overestimate my skill at something once I get into it.
So I imagined me on roller-skates would be me a little more then naturally into a solid wall.

Painful mental images.
But drawing it is fun though, I need to see Vinter work on le-photoshop again.
Need to siphon more knowledge, this is me trying to use the eraser toll more.

This on just kind of happened, was really enjoying the sketching part of the first image so, when I finished to pencil part, I grabbed a new paper and kind of jazzed.

Course it looked Awesome, then I went and overworked it a little.
But in the end its still kind of a fun image with some seriously weird poseing going on.

And thats me lazing today.
I really enjoy napping BTW.
Just lying down on the bed and sleeping 1 hour at the most impractical times of day.

So fun, and pleasing to know, that I CAN do it.

My quick one failed... So I'm giving you an old one... I would have drawn something better, but after working 26 hours this weekend with a four hour sleep break after 16 hours, I didn't have much strength left to do much...

Left hand on the safety

1 of 3 images I did for today.
Still working on the idea of short hair, might be growing on me.
(course this might be called medium hair, but give me some slack)

2 of 3, an images with a lil' more action, course the driver went all dead on me, so bad drivers, bad.

And the the final piece I just could not get right!
Felt like I was holding my hand back, missing the right music, the right food, the right smell.

I was missing that little spark to get the last images to work, and in the end I just gave up on the image.
Might try redrawing it in bed later, just because, well, now I've started and its got the haunt thing going on.

Anyways, later entry today as I had to work, got home early but overate so been real sleepy like.
Vinter will join us from her denmarkian ways tomorrow, quickie time?
